The D614G mutation loosens a key region around communication networks in the SARS-CoV-2 spike contributing to easier to sample RBD-up conformational dynamics.
Conformational landscapes as functions of post-translational modifications.
Via torsional restrictions to the backbone, dense contact networks, and solvation effects, O-glycans imbue a physical “pseudo-structure” onto otherwise intrinsically disordered mucin backbones.
